Boxford Rovers has a great tradition of taking children who have never played the game before and turning them into players who can compete at every level in their time with the club. In most cases that training starts at age 4 or 5 when they join our Minis section. The section trains the children up to the age of 7 or 8 when they progress to teams entered in the leagues. We welcome players of all ability levels.
During their time in the Minis the children are taught to develop their skills, to learn rules of the game, how to play in a team and most importantly how to have fun! The group is split into two age sections. The older section play friendlies against other clubs to prepare them to play in leagues in the years to come.
The section is headed up by Jason Long an FA level 1 coach. The sessions are held at Homefield on Saturday mornings between 9.30am and 11.00am.
